New Jersey DCA - HARP Project Submissions
For Homeowners involved in NJ state run programs for hurricane relief under DCA, HARP, or other associated programs for damaged home reconstruction, this page applies directly to you.
We would like to make it clear to our clients that we do charge a Flat Rate of $400 for the Estimating, Proposal Drafting, and Application services required in the bidding process of these programs. At the end of the bidding process if we are contracted to carry out the home reconstruction or associated work, we will subtract the Estimating Service Charge off of the top of our total contracted project amount, this results in a net $0 for you the homeowner, while ensuring we get paid for our time and effort. Why Do We Charge a Flat Rate for Cost Estimating & Proposal Services?
For the NJ DCA & HARP Programs specifically, the following items are required by your bidding Contractors:
1. Itemized Cost Estimate Breakdown
2. Formal Project Proposal
3. Application Paperwork
For the entire scope of this bidding package, multiple days of our time are dedicated to this process. Unfortunately we cannot work for free. The Flat Rate fee covers our end for the labor put into the package while also keeping the door open to move forward with the project later down the road if approved, as our clients will be reimbursed if the project is rewarded to us.
